The tried-and-tested clamping wedges have not yet had their day. Cleverly placed, they offer reliable intermediate protection on alpine routes. The heads are made of aluminum, the cable of steel, which makes the stoppers hard-wearing. The transverse taper is versatile in open, flat or parallel cracks. The edges are rounded for light removal of the wedges. We recommend the Nut Tool for this purpose.
