The Mammut Probe 240 short from Mammut is a light and above all stable avalanche probe. The seven segments with a diameter of 11 millimeters are reliably tensioned via the telescopic closure. As there are seven and not six segments, they are shorter overall, resulting in a packing size of 38 cm. The tensioning system with steel cable and the operation of the closure is no problem, even with gloves!
